The Public Environmentally Preferable Procurement System (PEPPS) is a web-based tool and one-stop shop through which public agencies can:
- Create collaborative solicitations for green products;
- Standardize on common green product specifications;
- Piggy-back on existing contracts with green products;
- Access current resources and save money!

- Originated by Bay Area government sustainability and purchasing staff.
- Developed by San Jose State University students participating in the Gary J. Sbona Honors Program for Management Information Systems.
